Being part of the global and local collaboration supporting different activities to implement the Category Strategy and engaging in the local Vendor relationship.

This position supports Procurement Department and interact with all Organization stakeholders to purchase and follow up on needs allowing to have a broad level of knowledge and experience in how the organization operates.

This position supports all category collaborators needs allowing to have a broad level of knowledge and expertise in how business model is. Following the category strategy and with strong global collaboration it’s possible to support the management of all the commercial aspects with The LEGO Group Suppliers to ensure the supply on time and with the right level of quality agreed with our collaborators.


Core Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing & Contracting: To Understand the business needs and provides supply and sourcing strategies and contracts in compliance with product specifications and Category requirements.
  • Negotiation & Cost analysis: To drive quotes and cost analysis and breakdown for negotiation, price adjustments by cost drivers and to build a healthy competitiveness environment.
  • Risk Management: To Identify, handle, and communicate risks by leading action plans to avoid/mitigate potential impacts from own area and linked to internal customers points of connection.
  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): To lead Supplier Relationship Account by developing, evaluating and with a continuous improvement approach to the Vendors as responsible. Lead low sophisticated categories within Direct Procurement.
  • Market & key indicators tracking: To analyze industry, economic and financial key indicators along with legal conditions to track actual & projected trends that influence on price variance factors to estimate impacts and drive actions to mitigate them.
  • Productivity & Continuous Improvement: To drive productivity and efficiency initiatives internally and with suppliers, providing saving to the business and workload reduction.
  • Project Management as leader or participant.
  • Align with the Procurement Processes related to the Supply Chain Security Programs (CTPAT-OEA) and FSC through internal applicable processes and guidelines to follow these Programs.
  • Digital skills (Power BI): Handle and develop visual and interactive insight for analyze from own area of responsibility.
EHS Related:
  • Take ownership for the appropriate integration and / or implementation of the QEHS System in the operational processes of your area and ensure its effectiveness.
  • Assign the vital resources for the management of the QEHS system in the area.
  • Provide support, participate proactively, and demonstrate leadership on QEHS in your area.
  • Follow the QEHS legal requirements, standards (External / internal) and others applicable to your area.

Do you have what it takes?
  • Bachelor degree (International Business, Management, Engineering or related field)
  • At least 3 years of experience within Procurement processes specially for Indirect Procurement areas.
  • Experience in reporting related to Procurement performance and Vendor evaluation
  • Experience participating in Projects
Hard Skills:
  • Continuous Improvement basic tools and methodology to tackle problems and develop ideas.
  • Microsoft Office (Intermediate – Sophisticated)
  • Reporting and data analysis knowledge.
  • English proficient level.
  • Procurement systems expertise: SAP expertise, COUPA System
  • Digital Skills such as Power BI, SharePoint basic development knowledge and maintenance.

  • Communication skills (oral, written, visual)
  • Analytic mindset
  • Result oriented.

Note: This position is based at our LEGO Operaciones de Mexico manufacturing factory located in Cienega de Flores, NL This is not a remote position
