The Role
As the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis - Commercial Revenues, you will manage one of the domains within the Warner Bros. Discovery FP&A CoE which offers you a great opportunity to participate in the overall finance transformation roadmap, setting standards for the FP&A processes related to Ad Sales and Distribution revenue management. Your main responsibility will be to manage the scope of Commercial revenues (Ad sales and Distribution) for the US market as well as be a lead for the FP&A COE Commercial team based in Mexico office (the team responsible for LATAM market). You will have to ensure proactive and timely high-quality forecasting, reporting and analysis in the Ad Sales and Distribution revenue domain. You will manage a team of finance managers and analysts, and you will ensure deep knowledge and competencies are developed within the team to provide business stakeholders with required information to make educated decisions.

Key responsibilities:
- Develop financial forecasts & budgets for managed areas and validate them with commercial team to capture any risks and opportunities and provide assessment and recommendations of revenue drivers to local finance directors
- Provide variance analysis to explain actual and forecasted performance of markets/regions vs prior year/plan/prior forecast
- Develop standardized reporting, including KPI's
- Support commercial contract development by gathering and analyzing contractual and historical data and providing relevant insights to local commercial and finance teams
- Manage ad hoc strategic and commercial financial requests (financial models and scenario analysis for situations including potential new channel launches or ceases, new packaging implementation, etc.)
- Craft concise, insightful materials to communicate key facts, stories and results to a senior management and regional market audience. Develop presentations for senior management.
- Lead simplification projects to improve processes and drive efficiencies in areas of responsibility
- Gain comprehensive understanding of different markets
- Establish collaborative relationships with key contacts in business finance teams to encourage the flow of information and knowledge sharing
- Lead, develop and coach a team of managers and analysts to provide high quality support to their stakeholders
Requirements
- 8+ years' experience in FP&A, preferably in Commercial Finance functions
- Knowledge of media market and dynamics of key metrics impacting revenue would be an asset
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with proven ability to distil complex findings into a 'story' with actionable findings to support commercial decision making
- Critical thinker and problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to frame issues, articulate findings, and present optimal solutions.
- Experience leading, coaching and developing a team
- Strong work ethic and follow-through
- Flexible and able to take on new challenges as they arise.
- Ability to work well and communicate effectively in a cross functional, matrix environment
- Strong working knowledge of financial software packages and Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience in using EPM solutions such as SAP BPC, Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive
- Bachelors' degree in Finance, Accounting or similar, required.
