Title and Summary
Graphic Designer Are you excited by the way data and stories come to life through design?The Mastercard Creative Studio is looking for a talented designer with a passion for the power of data and visual storytelling to join a new in-house creative team in Mexico City.
At Mastercard, we help our customers use data to make smarter decisions. You'll bring the creative thinking to campaigns and strategy, part of the creative process from the start, bringing our storytelling to life visually.
As a designer in the Creative Studio, you'll work closely with internal team members (brand strategists, innovators, designers and writers) to create high quality marketing assets. You'll craft visual materials for infographics, blogs, social media, web, reports and slick presentations. You're a creative thought partner leading the charge to make our messages come out in with interesting, even quirky, design. You'll also work with other designers and brand strategists to update and modernize Mastercard's approach to information design, making it fresher and more accessible.
You're a skilled designer with an eye for detail. You understand branding and are comfortable working within global brand guidelines. You have a strong portfolio demonstrating creative flair and problem solving across a range of media and formats, including digital and print.
The possibilities unlocked by data and insights excites you, and you're keen to learn about the next big thing in tech. You're a strategic thinker who asks the right questions to uncover the underlying why. You're always looking for ways to infuse a creative edge into everything you do, and you're comfortable presenting these ideas to stakeholders.

Necessary skills
• Possess solid knowledge in graphic design with the ability to apply brand style guides creatively
• Apply strong conceptual skills, high level sense of typography, colour theory, and visual composition
• Interested and excited by data visualization and information design
• Interpret Mastercard brand guidelines successfully across a range of media and formats, including multi-page presentations and marketing assets
• Display creative curiosity by seeking out new design techniques and maintaining cutting edge industry knowledge
Business skills
• Collaborate with and serve as a strategic partner to internal team and stakeholders across the company
• Strong presentation skills, comfortable communicating visual concepts and ideas to key stakeholders at Mastercard and partner brands
• Understand the business goals, marketing strategies and value propositions of our stakeholders and clients
• Work effectively with others to identify challenges and opportunities and use creative and strategic thinking to generate solutions
• Manage creative requirements, expectations, and deadlines for all projects

Required experience
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years working as a Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and working with established brands. Some in-house or agency experience preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office including Word and PowerPoint
• Experience with project management software
