Customer Solutions Engineer to join our team.
Your Role
Working with the Director of
Customer Solutions and Engineering, you will analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs), develop a client-tailored solution, and present for approval to business unit Executives and clients specific to warehouse operations.
Your Responsibilities
- Build Solutions Models and assist Business Development with the creation of proposal documents and written responses to RFP questions
- Read and comprehend customer RFPs, RFQ (request for quote), and RFI (request for information) to identify solution requirements and additional data and informational requirements for solutions development
- Interface with various specialized functional groups for solution design and costing input and provide conceptual facility layout using AutoCAD or Demo3D
- Clarify and resolve complex business issues by breaking them down into meaningful components to determine root causes and redesign internal and external business processes
- You will write, speak, and present clearly and succinctly across a variety of communication settings and adjust your communication style to the audience by translating and articulating technical concepts to non-technical groups
Your Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Logistics from a 4-year college or university – or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 4-7 years related experience working in a 3rd party logistics warehouse distribution environment
- Strong working knowledge of P&L statements
- Ability to travel nationally on average 60- 70% of the time
- Experience working with simulation technologies such as AutoMOD, Demo3D, Arena, and Simul8
