Description & Requirements
- Manage R&D projects for product development (innovation, renovation and productivity), including new ideas generation for innovation and the continuous generation of opportunities for the innovation pipeline.
- Management, development and training plan for the R&D Team.
- Interface with the Manufacturing/Operations area to ensure the appropriate definition of standards and products.
- Interface with the Marketing, Commercial and Procurement areas with focus on defining and approving the company's strategy.
- Responsible for managing projects, related to improvements in product performance and value engineering, as needed and in accordance with Mexican legislation and company guidelines.
- Actively participate in influencing the Supplier Homologation agenda, VE through specific technical forums.
- Lead the future R&D agenda, through prospecting with suppliers and KHC technology teams.
- Lead the internal R&D meetings to review and prioritize project activities and daily requests from other areas.
- Effective network building with Global teams for alignment and search for opportunities in projects.
- Leadership with multifunctional and technical teams.
- Ensure the area's budget and spending plan.
- Participate in the main technical forums on the food agenda, as a KHC Interlocutor.
- Ensure the correct creation of ingredients and finished products especifications
Number of direct Reports: 3
- Complete Food Engineer graduation or similar (Chemical Engineering), desirable Master’s degree.
- Minimum 6 years experience in product and process management, across Latam countries.
Fluent English (written and spoken).
Experience in the consumer goods industry.
Management of people and cross-functional teams, continuously looking for the team growth.
Technical Expertise: Strong background in food science, food engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in food formulation, processing technologies, and product development methodologies.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, interpret results, and draw actionable insights. Strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and optimize product formulations.
Project Management: Excellent project management skills to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver projects on schedule. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with teams across the organization. Ability to build strong relationships and influence decision-making.
Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in experimental procedures, data collection, and documentation. Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and precision.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs, market dynamics, and technological advancements. Willingness to embrace change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of food safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices. Understanding of regulatory requirements for product labeling, claims, and marketing.
