Overview

The ELT Sales Representative will own McGraw Hill’s ELT sales budget for assigned territory across the country. The ELT Sales Representative will be responsible for the overall sales and performance of the territory. An ELT Sales Representative must liaise with regional stakeholders to drive sales growth with a particular focus on new
business, cross-sell and upsell activity. Sales specialists are experienced communicators who are highly organized, data-driven, and can quickly learn and leverage new technologies to maximize the impact of McGraw Hill solutions on educators and learners.

The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit – is willing to seek out, engage and close business all while working in a dynamic and complex environment. Intellectual curiosity and an appreciation for educational institutions are keys to success in this role.


• Identify business opportunities on potential ELT customers and follow up with relevant professional development services to them.
• Offer professional development services for ELT team as well as professional teaching training to ELT adopters.
• Iniciative to implement strategies to growth revenue through new/existing businesses development.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with existing customers and prospective clients via on-site meetings, telephone calls and emails.
• Superior customer relationship management skills. Demonstrate the ability to build relationships with end user and decision makers.
• Achieving or exceeding territory sales targets by selling ELT products.
• Meeting, giving ELT presentations and information to decision-makers in educational institutions. (Academic presentations are expected)
• Maintain accurate and timely tracking and forecasting in salesforce.com.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of McGraw-hill products, platforms, and capabilities.


☒ College Degree - Administration- English teacher in bilingual schools or language academies-International Sales
☒ Licenses/Certificates/Designations - English teaching license or certificates


• At least three years of sales experience in educational publishing or EdTech services (or significant experience in
administration or in an educational leadership role in ELT division).
• English language (advanced level)
• Experience with CRM database.
• A deep understanding of the use of technology in an educational instructional environment as it relates to educational infrastructures, such as platforms and curricula.
• Microsoft software skills: Outlook and Power Point (basic), Word and Excel (intermediate).
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Consistent over achievement of sales goals in a large geographic territory.
• Knowledge of the education sector and English language learning is desirable.
• Proven track record setting and achieving sales targets is desirable.


☒ Outside Sales – Work is generally performed in an office environment, but employee may need to
travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities. Driving may be required for an extended period of time
with frequent stops and starts. Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
