This role is located in Aguascalientes, Mexico (Remote).
The Senior Buyer/Planner is responsible for the planning and purchasing functions of assigned commodities to support Configure-to-Order production demand while maintaining efficient reporting and data integrity.
What You'll DoAnalyze Material Requirements Planning recommendations daily to ensure proper stock levels are achieved for assigned commodities
Prepare and execute purchase orders to assigned suppliers within scope area
Quote and source new component and assemblies with approved suppliers
React to Material Requirements Planning action messages for expedites and defers to meet supply plans
Maintain product master data and accurate Purchase Order information in ERP system
Demonstrate a sense of urgency and solution oriented working when addressing production line downtime due to shortages and expedite requests
Identify and analyze root cause and counter measure for any stock-outs
Mitigate risk and ensure continuity of supply by constructing and executing to a well thought out supply plan that fulfills the needs of the product on time and with quality
Maintain safety stock and min/max levels of assigned Parts/Groups
Maintain target inventory levels assigned commodities
Maintain target pricing and monitor Purchas Price Variances
Manage supplier performance and on time delivery
Process Engineering Change Order requests for part changes with suppliers
Process First Article Inspection requests by suppliers to ensure quality measures are met
Active Participation and drive of continuous improvement initiatives as well as cross functional projects
Kanban analysis and reporting
Warehouse space allocation planning
Usage and reporting on Material Requirements Planning metric
Buyer training and mentoring
Presents monthly E&O reports on assigned commodities to leadership and stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in business or finance preferred
3+ years of Purchasing and Analysis experience in Manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Bills of Material structure and engineering drawings
Multi-tasker, collaborative and inclusive
Strong communications skills (written and verbal)
Work both independent and within a team setting
Manage dynamic and changing priorities
Strong excel and analytical skills
Microsoft D365 experience is preferred
