The IET business segment with Baker Hughes, is on a journey to transform its Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) processes and tools. Within this endeavour transformation of Product Structure Configuration and Configuration Management processes and associated digital technologies is centre stage. The goal of this transformation is to enable IET businesses/product lines to speed up response to customer requests, drive standardised product offerings, reduce costs, reduce delivery lead times, and increase quality
 

As a Senior Digital Configuration Management Process & Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for:
 

• Working in collaboration with business and product line stakeholders support the development of best practice Product Configuration Management processes.
• Leading and facilitating workshops and reviews that enable process capture, requirements ellication and formalization, and process improvement metrics for business case development
• Reviewing and document/map current state business processes, tools and data structures
• Leveraging PLM and Configuration Management best-practices and standards (such as CM2) to identify improvements and optimizations, and susequently define new (‘to-be’ state) business processes, and associated digitization approaches, digital technologies and data models.
• Providing functional and Technology expertise in various Product Configuration topics such as product structure definition; taxonomy and partitioning details; and rules based configuration table by options, features, and/or corresponding values; BOM structures and data to identify inefficiencies and develop better BOM/data structures; variant conditions to the BOM Parts and BOM CAD data to drive Configuration Management; and configuration and change Management procedures and processes
• Leading and/or in partnership with digital technology resources, the deign and development of Digital Configuration Management software solutions using Rulestream and Teamcenter as core platforms
• Leading the strategy and implementation of the data model, solution configuration and/or customizations, as well as overall verification and validation (testing) of the applications
• Leading and owning the authoring of technical solution specifications (i.e., Technical Design Documents), documenting the software configuration, code, and associated IT infrastructure.
• Collaborating with other PLM Teamcenter Solution Architects, as well as architects from other domains such as CRM, CPQ, and ERP, in developing the overall architecture and implementation approach.
• Supporting overall solution development activities, including but not limited to, MultiCAD, Classification, and change management workflows.

To be successful in this role you will:
 

• Have a Bachelors Degree with minimum 8 years of experience working on enterprise level PLM and DCM implementations (design, develop & deploy).
• Have architected large wing-to-wing PLM/DCM and KBE (Knowledge Based Engineering) applications using Siemens toolset i.e., Rulestream, NX, Teamcenter Product Configurator, Teamcenter Variants & Options, Teamcenter Structure Manager, Teamcenter Multi-BOM, and Teamcenter Manufacturing Process Planner
• Have Strong understanding of the interface between Sales, Engineering and Production, the decision-making parameters that govern Engineer-to-order (ETO), Configure-to-Order (CTO), Assemble-to-order (ATO), Make-to-order (MTO) and Make-to-stock (MTS) strategies.
• Have Strong process/domain experience or knowledge of Inquiry to Order (ITO) & Order-to-Requisition (OTR) and RTR (Requisition to Retirement) processes.
• Have Experience in architecting engineering/design process integration and automations (for example CAD automation) using Rulestream (or similar technologies) and integrating Configurator/KBE applications applications with PLM (e.g., Teamcenter) and other Enterprise Applications such as ERP & CRM using various technologies (for example AIG, TESIS/T4X, Web Methods etc..).
• Have proven abilities to communicate complex topics to executive leaders and peers in a simple, clear, plan oriented manner. Ability to quickly configure and conduct business demos and define requirements and data model.
• Have Strong interpersonal & stakeholder management skills
