About the Role
In this opportunity as Sr. HRBP, you will: 

Analyze the business to identify and recommend HR priorities to support business agenda.
Provide direction and staff management to HR team, ensuring activities are focused on key business issues and that an effective operational service is provided.
Review and guide on wider HR activities or initiatives generated by central or global groups.
Liaising with these groups to ensure they are aware of business requirements.
Ensure a consistent approach to HR activities and compliance with regional and global policies and legal requirements whilst adhering to local statutory requirements under employment legislation.
May be project owner on certain elements of a project, will provide HR resource to business projects to ensure proper focus on people/organization aspects of the project.
Provide direction for the business in all matters associated with staff and will coach business unit management teams to enhance individual and team capability in areas of HR operations activity, such as the annual HR cycle.
 

SR. Human Business Partner

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner in Thomson Reuters (SR HRBP) plays a crucial role in aligning Human Resources strategies with business objectives. Reporting to the HR, the SR HRBP collaborates closely with senior management and department heads to develop and implement HR initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and talent management.


About the Role

In this opportunity as SR Human Resources Business Partner, you will:

  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on HR matters to support business goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business leaders to understand their needs and proactively address HR-related issues.
  • Partner with the talent acquisition team to identify current and future talent needs and develop strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Drive succession planning initiatives and talent development programs to ensure a pipeline of future leaders within the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Work closely with legal counsel as needed to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Lead or support organizational change initiatives, such as restructuring, mergers, and acquisitions, by providing expertise in change management and organizational design.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement employee engagement strategies that promote a positive work culture and high levels of employee satisfaction.
  • Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, assess the effectiveness of HR programs, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare and present HR metrics and reports to senior leadership on a regular basis.
  • Develop HR policies and procedures that align with best practices and support the organization's values and goals.
  • Ensure consistent application and enforcement of HR policies across the organization.

About You


You're a fit for the role of SR Human Resources Business Partner if your background includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on Business Partnering and strategic HR initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent bilingual English/Spanish communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in HR analytics.
  • The Senior Human Resources Business Partner role requires a strategic mindset, strong business acumen, and the ability to drive change and influence outcomes in a dynamic organizational environment.
