The primary role of the Accountant is to support accounting responsibilities associated with the Mexico Regional Office that oversees Mexico and Central America.
The candidate will be responsible for processing payroll in accurate and timely manner, must be process oriented with strong attention to detail and must be able to communicate at all levels within the Company including but not limited to executives, senior management, field and regional staff and the external auditors.
What you'll do
- Process payroll accurately and timely
- Work with vendors, customers, and colleagues to resolve inquiries and issues.
- Maintain compliance with accounting / auditing policies and procedures and local laws and regulations
- Perform account reconciliations, resolving open items and creating applicable journal entries
- Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the post
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years of combined public accounting experience or experience in large public company corporate accounting department
- Understanding of accounting processes
- Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office software (e.g., Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)
- Self-motivated with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work flexible hours when required.
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail.
- Good team player

Airline experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- English as a second language fluently spoken and written
- Fundamental accounting, internal controls and INFS knowledge required
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Flexible / adaptable to constant change and scheduling needs to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute concurrent assignments
- Ability to meet deadlines without supervision
