Job Description

The Legal Entity Control team is responsible for financial oversight of their legal entity, and is tasked with ensuring that a strong control environment exists as it relates to all businesses, products, and operational areas that impact the Legal Entity financials and regulatory reporting of the firm.

This role provides an opportunity to interact with multiple lines of business and internal stakeholders while learning legal entity controllership end-to-end.  The Analyst will liaise with the line of business finance teams, operations, and the Legal Entity Controller community to drive the Legal Entity agenda. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Performing monthly, quarterly and annually controls and reconciliations related to the financial information of the different entities.
  • Performing the financial statements of the different Legal entities in Mexico.
  • Analyzing the results and explaining variances for different time periods.
  • Reporting local regulatory reports that can be related to financial information, capital management or liquidity management (ICAP, LCR, NSFR, Concentration Risk, ACLME report)
  • Report the quarterly disclosures in the web page.
  • Processing accounting entries and reconcile the balances of some accounts under the ownership of LEC.
  • Help to automate current processes in different digital tools. (Tableau, Alteryx, external vendor digital platform GREP).
  • Being involved in internal or external audits related to the team processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field
  • Proficient Excel skills
  • Proficient organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable liaising with business partners while building and maintaining relationships
  • Ability to critically challenge with the goal of identifying control issues
  • Show initiative; be able to work independently yet keep all parties apprised of key issues
  • Ability to work on multiple priorities at the same time
  • Ability to learn quickly and be comfortable to navigate various reporting systems/tools
