Utility Profit is on a mission to improve the experience of renting homes. Utility Profit makes it easy for renters to see the utility options for their address and set up their water, electric, gas, and internet. We’re building a sales team and creating the future of moving. Our headquarters are in Austin, TX, and we have a distributed team of 40+ talented employees.

What will I be onboarding partners to?

Utility Profit partners with property managers, offering a unique 'found revenue' service to boost their earnings. Through our partnership, property managers stand to increase their profitability while enhancing their tenant’s move-in experience.

Here's how Utility Profit works:

  • Revenue Sharing Model: Utility Profit is earned by activating services, and we share a portion of that revenue directly with property managers. Property managers benefit financially from utilizing our services, creating an additional income stream for their business.

  • Operational Efficiency: Beyond the financial benefits, we alleviate the operational burden associated with utility setups. By handling these tasks, we enable property management teams to focus on their core responsibilities without being bogged down by administrative tasks.

What's the day-to-day for this role?

  • You'll be working with customers who have demoed the product and nurturing the customer through the onboarding process. Additionally, you’ll check in with customers and ensure they are retained and getting the most possible usage out of the product.

  • You’ll do sales/Account Management logistics, including filling out contracts, creating portals, logging notes, remembering calendar invites, etc.

  • Ensure the account is set up from an administrative point of view.

  • You’ll directly conduct meetings with the partner for onboarding and check-in calls.

  • You’ll be responsible for building FAQ pages and wikis that explain details about the product and common questions related to using the product, billing, account setup, etc.

  • Keep your CRM updated with call notes and statuses about your book of business.
    • We are currently using Hubspot as our CRM tool.

  • Persuasive: You can overcome objections and get buy-in from people. You have a track record of handling sticky situations with customers and helping retain accounts. You’re great at building relationships and continuing to sell throughout your lifecycle.

  • Organized and detail-oriented: You’re the ultimate task masker. You don’t let things fall through the cracks. You’re great at back-office logistics.

Where will I be working?

This is a work-from-home position, from a non-US location. We currently have team members in Mexico, El Salvador and The Philippines, and this position would work during normal business hours in US Central Time. The candidate position will be hired and trained remotely.

Compensation: You’ll receive a base salary and a commission for retained partners.

Other requirements:

  • At least six months of call center or inside sales experience is necessary.
    • Proven record of hitting and exceeding targets and quotas.

  • Excellent English communication , both verbal and written.

  • You have used CRMs in the past and can pick up new technologies quickly.
    • We use Hubspot, zoom, google hangouts, google slides, calendars/calendly, gmail and other standard tools.

  • We are looking for bright, driven, committed, and authentic humans.
