Tailwater Lodge is currently hiring for an Executive Restaurant Chef.
The Executive Restaurant Chef is responsible for the ala carte kitchen operations and ensuring overall quality and integrity. Key responsibilities include team performance, quality assurance, effective cost controls and associate development and training. Must ignite the kitchen spirit by creating unrivaled hospitality experiences fueled by fun, enthusiasm and be creative and knowledgeable of current food trends.
Work Experience
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ability to create new menu items for seasonal menu change
- Adheres to standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation which helps to ensure consistency high quality and to minimize food costs.
- Inspect the quality of the food
- Ensure high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are maintained through all kitchen areas at all times.
- Organizes, trains and manages to see that all cleaning and food handling procedures are correct.
- Responsible for inventory management. Overseas storage and loss-control of food and kitchen supplies.
- Be aware of new culinary trends and recipes
- Incredible food preparation abilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
Requirements:
- Culinary School Degree
- Ability to manage an entire kitchen with three to five years of kitchen management experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and time management skills
