Job Description

  • The Facilities Project Manager (WS&O) leads projects that support the existing and future needs for facilities systems, technology, equipment, expansion and retrofit of existing assets; by the integration, coordination, planning and execution of required activities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Head of Project Management WS&O LOM.
  • Handle and work with many different fields within facilities environment: electricity, chilled water, HVAC, compressed air, fire protection systems; facilities systems, equipment, buildings, among others.
  • Define projects following the LEGO Project Model (LPM) and the partners requesting the needs and requirements: purpose, objective, scope, results, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Responsible for Business Case (BC) definition and creation with the alignment and support from the Steering Committee.
  • Responsible for the planning, execution, and control of the assigned projects, defined by the Steering Committee (scope, schedule, cost) according to the LPM framework by handling the guidelines and standard processes applicable.
  • Timely communication to all levels and accurate closure and documentation of all project elements (lessons learned, ops. Documents, benefits harvest, etc.).
  • Responsible to define and build a temporarily organization; identify and solicit the needed resources (material, budget and labor) for the assigned projects, by defining the needed roles & responsibilities in order to achieve the objectives.
  • Be accountable of the objectives’ completion for the project by the identification, definition, alignment and approval of project requirements and changes from relevant collaborators; as well as definition and follow-up of adequate critical metrics with the partnering areas to ensure accurate handover to the receiving organization and expectation of the clients.
  • Be accountable of the contractor and suppliers’ work, making sure the best quality is delivered by supervising, coordinating and delegating the right resources (internal and external) looking to minimize idle time and assuring that all LEGO related processes are met (EHS, Security, Procurement, Legal, LEGO Standards, etc.).
  • Act as the link and go-to person between WS&O and Global Projects from different areas like Global Expansion Projects, Engineering, Logistic, among others; by actively participating in workshops, providing mentorship, technical information, requirements, standards and supporting other areas’ activities and projects (Facilities Stream).
  • To lead and support WS&O Projects Area’s activities, aligned with strategic priorities of the company and Project Portfolio, such as: development of processes to structure, standardize, simplify, measure and improve project activities aligned with the Global LPM standards and governance (metrics, KPIs, templates, graphics, visual aids, Power BI reports, etc.).

Requirements:

  • Experience in Project Management leading industrial, equipment, systems, manufacturing facilities or infrastructure projects; experience running global projects, leading budget, costs, procurement procedures, project evaluation techniques and risk management.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering desirable. Master or equivalent experience is a plus. Desirable to have PMP certification or diploma in project management.
  • Skills: Project management skills, strong leadership, flexible and structured.
  • Knowledge in local standards and codes for building construction; Advanced English spoken and in writing (business level).
