Founded in 2011, Andes Global Trading is a leader for the America’s in the frozen and refrigerated meat trading industry, focusing on Pork, Beef, Poultry, and Vegetables.

Our offices, customers, and vendors are located around the region and the globe, including 20 countries we sell to and +10 countries we currently buy from.

Position Summary.

As a Junior Logistics Specialist at Andes, you will play a crucial role in supporting our logistical operations. Your responsibilities will include assisting in coordinating import and export shipments, aiding in customs clearance, inland transportation arrangements, and ensuring accurate and timely updates of supplier and shipping information in our systems. You will also help manage cargo tracking, bookings, and address any customer service queries related to deliveries.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist in managing weekly and monthly load programs with retail customers.
  • Support in coordinating shipments with freezers according to customer specifications and Andes inventory process.
  • Handle general customer inquiries regarding orders, pricing, tracking, and bookings.
  • Maintain daily contact with suppliers to monitor purchase order status and production timelines.
  • Contribute to the invoice processing and report compilation for the accounting department.
  • Participate in resolving customer complaints by investigating issues, proposing solutions, and preparing reports.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with logistics partners, carriers, and storage facilities.
  • Assist in logistics planning to achieve service excellence and cost efficiency.
  • Support inventory management and ensure smooth coordination across departments.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Recent graduate with a BS degree in business or a related field, with coursework or internships focused on supply chain/logistics.
  • Strong organizational and data entry skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Positive, customer-oriented attitude, with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly advantageous.
