Opening Sentence:
As a Key Account Manager for our Resale/Key Accounts Channel, you’ll have the opportunity to work with large resellers to grow their knowledge and understanding of our core products, to gain their interest in representing Donaldson in the market, maintain market share and drive new business growth across diverse markets in Mexico. You will foster and strengthen relationships with key customer contacts through phone and email communication as well as through travel to various territories.
Role Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary contact for assigned Key Accounts to solidify relationships, determining customer needs, and learning application and business requirements
- Establish, cultivate and leverage resale customer relationships at a branch level and corporate level to grow the business
- Conduct virtual trainings on Donaldson products and technologies to Key Accounts, and coach them on how to sell filtration to their customer base
- Lead sales presentations, pricing negotiations, business and product proposals, and other communications designed to drive sales
- Ensure customer satisfaction by completing quotes, reviewing business opportunities, and answering technical questions
- Manage channel conflict through regular communication with distribution partners and Sales Reps to determine the best path to market to gain market share
- Act as a customer advocate within internal organizations and cross-functional teams on pre- and post-sale matters including but not limited to our engineering and manufacturing facilities
- Achieve the Revenue and Margin objectives
Travel: Up to 50%
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor´s degree in business, marketing, engineering or related field.
- +5 years of experience as an Outside Sales & acquiring new business in the region assigned
Preferred Qualifications: (Max bullets per section 10)
- Experience in the industrial sector (diverse industries)
- Experience with customer relationship software (CRM, Salesforce, other)
- Technical aptitude – will have full technical support but needs to learn Aftermarket Industrial Solutions products so they can sell our value to prospective customers
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented, with excellent organization skills
- Fluent in English preferably but not completely required.
