This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

   

Partners with the businesses to ensure that the capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company. Gathers financial data and performs financial analyses and reporting (e.g., profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, pricing, etc.) to influence decisions within the business and to drive cross-business initiatives (e.g., Mergers & Acquisitions). Drives the forecasting process (weekly, monthly, and long term) by analyzing trends within the businesses and ensuring alignment with business- and corporate-wide objectives. Communicates and drives adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization's financial goals and policies. Has the fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results correctly both internally and externally. Ensures strong business controls.

Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.

Responsibilities:

• Provide pricing support to country business teams.
• Work with country sales team, business/product categories and region teams to provide optimal deal pricing, implement pricing strategy and methods/systems.
• Monitor cost components/changes, competitors’ prices, currency fluctuations and internal price positioning.
• Perform required analysis related to pricing to optimize profitability and pricing competitiveness.
• Interact with pricing and program/project managers, as well as with finance and strategy & planning leads to support associated pricing, business programs, projects, pricing key initiatives.
• Ensure appropriate business controls are in place and support internal & external audit requests when needed.

Education and Experience Required:

• First-level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification preferred.
• Typically, 3+ years of experience as a financial analyst, or pricing related area.
• Typically experienced in more than one finance function, preferably in pricing.
• Fluency in Spoken Cantonese.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Good business acumen.
