Sea Logistics Team Manager

Your Role

Team manager responsible to lead and streamline his/her department. He/She is responsible for department productivity and quality coordinate implementation and continuous improvement projects. He/She maintains team motivation and performance (individual and collective) promotes, supports and enforces company compliance policy and guidelines. He/She leads and supports projects to support and develop use of automation tools and processes.

Your Responsibilities

• Optimize Productivity and Quality of the Sea Logistics Business Unit.
• Guide operations to satisfy Internal Customers (Kuehne Nagel Branches).
• Lead Continuous Improvement Projects within his/her Department
• Lead and Support projects to implement and develop use of Automation tools and Processes
• Control the implementation of new processes in her/his area.
• Control the implementation of KPI's and Reporting
• Coordinate department meetings to verify if goals were reached, Communicate department productivity, quality goals.
• Be responsible for team management : Looking for a back-up when absent employees, rotations, keep a good working environment, etc.
• Be aware of employee's vacations, breaks, overtime assignment and communicate with HR.
• Prepare Performance Appraisal evaluations.
• Enforce Company Policies and Guidelines

Your Skills and Experiences

• Bachelor's Degree holder
• With Freight Forwarding/Logistics/Supply Chain experience
• At least 2+ more years of leadership/management experience
• At least 2+ more years of work experience in Logistics/Freight Forwarding
• People Oriented
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Organizational and Time Management Abilities
• Ability to learn and work with systems
