Team and Role Overview
The Regulatory Change Services team’s primary responsibility is to ensure that Adenza’s AxiomSL clients have the latest regulatory reporting solution implemented in their production environment. The role provides an opportunity to apply technical and troubleshooting skills whilst learning about multiple aspects of regulatory obligations imposed on financial institutions. Following technical training and certification on our CV10 platform. The Technical consultant will be assigned to specific upgrade initiatives under the supervision of a senior consultant. As time progresses and knowledge is acquired the consultant will become a primary contact for the client. Responsibilities
- Produce creative solutions to client requirements and problems, and make functional and technical enhancements to resolve customer problems
- Interface with system users to define technical applications requirements including system modifications and subsequently record any maintaining reports describing all developments – logic, coding, testing, changes, and/or corrections
- Help client to interpret regulatory requirements, and map their internal data to required mapping requirement logic
- Be responsible for installation and upgrading of new and existing reporting solutions for customers – incl. integration of multiple 3rd parties and in-house applications with their software solutions in areas pertaining to regulatory reporting
- Find alternative solutions for software defects and propose technical enhancements to resolve customer problems and configure environments whenever required
- Interface with system users to define technical applications requirements
- Participate in the evaluation of technical enhancements and effectively document technical issues
- Write and maintain documentation to describe developments, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections
- Drive product upgrade delivery planning with clients. Work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to provide insight on regulatory/internal axiom release timelines to help clients manage the solution upgrade deployment and testing timelines
- Understand, analyze, plan, create, test, and deliver new custom reports as per client request
- Participate in the creation of new automated regression testing solutions in AxiomSL’s ControllerView platform to improve customer satisfaction and product upgrade effectiveness/efficiency
- Create, test, and deliver hotfixes. Request product fixes from the internal product team
- Maintain ownership/accountability for open tickets. Track progress and effort required for each product upgrade and change request on Jira/Service Desk portal. Keep tickets updated with test evidence and artifacts.
- Provide weekly updates to management
- Ensure assigned tasks are moving forward through the process flow and escalate issues to management when necessary
Skills And Requirements
- B.S. in technology is preferred or a similar level of education in finance, accounting with a demonstrable interest in technology will be entertained
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience in FINTECH with a preference for exposure to Financial Services
- Understanding of financial markets and products
- Strong database/SQL knowledge
- Proficiency Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of scheduling tools (Control M, Autosys, etc)
- Knowledge of XML and good experience in Java
- Knowledge of SED/AWK/PERL
- Knowledge in regulatory reporting is highly valued but not essential
- CV9 or CV10 experience desirable
- Strong communication skills
- Motivated to learn independently
- English and other language are desirable
