We are looking for an onsite
Senior Human Resources Manager with advanced leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to be an integral part of site HR functions such as employee engagement, payroll, investigations, data analytics, compliance, and special projects. Your Role
While managing a team of 3 – 4 and, you will support all HR activities for all employees at the site. We’ll count on your years of experience to plan, coordinate, and direct the HR functions of the site, maintain a conflict-free workplace, and enhance job satisfaction. Your typical shift will be Monday – Friday, 8.00 am – 5.00 pm time, however, you must be flexible to work additional hours to support changing priorities and site needs.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform employee relations counseling
- Regularly spend time on the floor to be visible and interactive with employees to “check the pulse” of the workplace and cultivate a positive, engaged, collaborative and motivated environment
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, and other issues
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures
- Work directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on HR matters
- Support current and future business needs through leadership and consulting support to management
- Track staffing levels, deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, compensation, and promotions
- Effectively utilize the Kronos system to obtain, store, and analyze pertinent data for payroll and benefits administration
- Manage the end-to-end LOA and FMLA process
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high-performance
- Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives
Your Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years of experience in a distribution, manufacturing, or warehouse environment
- Excellent mentoring and leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft; UltiPro, Kronos)
- Advanced knowledge and experience of Equal Employment Opportunity, Compensation and Benefits, LOA, FMLA, FLSA,
- Labor Relations, and OSHA
- Strong Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills; advanced Excel skills
- Exceptional investigation and conflict resolution experience
- HR certification is preferred
