Water Sales Representative (Mexico)

Area to Cover: North of Mexican Republic. Based in Mexico City (Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo León, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosi, Zacatecas)

As a Sales Representative in Mexico, you will be on the front lines working to build strong relationships with our customers, visit clients face to face, specify our solutions, demo sessions with clients/prospects, maintain and increase sales of the actual accounts in the region and increase the number of actual accounts. You will establish yourself as a valued partner with customers.

Communicating the true value of our products and services is at the heart of our IDEXX’s commercial business. Our sales professionals develop deep and meaningful relationships offering solutions to meet our customers' unique needs.

What can you expect in this role?

Your goal? Translating customer needs into diagnostic solutions through consultative selling techniques and positioning the overall IDEXX added value for setting up longer term partnerships and increased customer experience. You build customer trust and loyalty thereby ensuring mutual growth.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals, within an expense budget.
  • Leverage other sales channels to maximize sales and customer service franchise objectives.
  • Develop and support sales processes to improve productivity and ensure that goals are met.
  • Analyze the characteristics and trends of the local market and help define customer needs for new or modified products and services.
  • Continuously expanding your customer base and establishing long-term relationships on various levels
  • Collaborating cross-functionally across the organization to ensure a great customer experience

What You Will Need to Succeed:

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with targets, loves the feeling of a win and resilient.

  • Customer oriented, a good listener and can build rapport quickly
  • Enjoys working to goals or targets
  • Outstanding communication skills across several stakeholders.
  • Business English is required
  • You're a qualified Biologist, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, Chemist, Microbiology.
  • Ideally, several years of successful territory management experience; you think strategically, you’re self-motivated and take ownership of your role.
