Air Logistics-Operational Key Account Manager

Our Kansas City branch is looking for a new Air Logistics Operational Key Account Manager to join our Sterling team.

Your Role

As an Operational Key Account Manager, you are a strategic consultant with the ultimate responsibility to understand the Key Account’s needs and requirements in proposing solutions that add value and build long lasting partnerships. In this role, you'll report to the Customer Relationship Director.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide real-time solutions to customer including International routing (Import/Export), Customs requirements, compliance, quotes, job setup and complete order fulfillment in Quicktrack
• Drive operational excellence for assigned account(s) and continuously monitor and improve the quality and consistency of the service delivery and data quality.
• Take a pro-active approach and drive the process forward toward improved customer loyalty through improved customer experience.
• Control monthly performance, monitor volume, profitability, pipeline, overdue, and ensuring immediate actions in case of deviations (i.e. timeliness / accurate reporting)
• Collaborate with Business Development to propose customer specific work instructions and implement continuous improvement measures that ensures the overall health of our relationship with the Key Account
• Ensure true global customer representation, collaborate with Business Development and Operations and exchange best practices
• Report to the Customer Relationship Director

Your Skills and Experiences

• Associate degree in supply chain management, or equivalent experience 
• 3+ years of Air Logistics experience
• 2+ years of Customer Service
• Proficient in Microsoft 365
