BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER 

As a Business Development Manager, you will report to the Managing Director for Latin America. Your primary focus will be on selling subscription-based data products, custom research (ad hoc), and data extracts, all derived from YouGov's syndicated audience and brand tracking products, Profiles and BrandIndex, also known as Plan & Track.

This role encompasses three key areas of responsibility:

Commercial

  1. Identify and seek new business primarily with advertisers, media agencies, brands, sports properties (and related businesses), and government sectors to drive business growth and achieve revenue goals.
  2. Proactively look for ways to shorten the sales cycle, making acquisition faster and at a lower cost.
  3. Develop and deliver compelling business proposals through a deep understanding of the customer and their business.
  4. Conduct effective negotiations and close new deals by understanding the value of YouGov's connected data.
  5. Sell products and services to existing customers.

Customer Loyalty

  • Collaborate with customer service to ensure existing customers are happy and satisfied, resulting in positive evaluations, referrals, testimonials, and minimizing churn.
  • Introduce new ideas, highlight special studies, custom analysis, elective subscriptions, or new services to potential and existing customers.
  • Collaborate with different internal teams within YouGov to ensure customer expectations are met, further minimizing churn, and creating additional sales opportunities.

Operational

  • Maintain a strong portfolio of potential new businesses, manage the sales pipeline, and provide accurate and well-informed sales forecasts.
  • Manage leads provided by various marketing activities both inside and outside Mexico.
  • Participate in the annual planning and various key moments in the fiscal year.
  • Contribute to the creation of sales and marketing materials, such as whitepapers, newsletters, presentations, data sheets, social media posts, etc.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of profitable growth.
  • Candidate should have an interest in the market research industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher. A degree in marketing or research is an advantage (e.g., economics, psychology, business, marketing, market research, analysis, etc.).
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Availability for occasional travel.
