We are looking for a distinguished senior technical leader to serve as our esteemed Head of Asset Delivery. To excel in this role, you must exemplify a relentless pursuit of excellence, wield creative problem-solving skills, and boast an impressive track record in delivering high-quality capital infrastructure projects. This encompasses overseeing infrastructure construction for industrial operations, procuring cutting-edge equipment, managing commissioning and integration, and driving automation systems.

Essential aspects of success in this role include adeptness in HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment), procurement, engineering design supervision, construction supervision, performance management, and people leadership. PURPOSE: APM Terminals, a prominent player in the Latin America region, is embarking on a growth journey that encompasses diverse opportunities within the capital infrastructure and port operations space. As part of this ambitious agenda, we are focused on enhancing safety, scaling our operations, and achieving excellence across our existing terminal businesses. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Overall responsibilities are the following Drive and lead the construction, execution and delivery of all the physical assets in the project – in line with the project's scope, timeline, budget and objectives. Directly manage all contractors and vendors related to building the project's physical assets and Automation and IT systems.

Engage in close cooperation with the the project team and terminal team to understand and manage critical dependencies affecting construction. Engage closely with the Project Manager, Terminal Operations and Asset Management teams to ensure functional requirements will be met for succesfull testing and go-live; and to ensure succesfull handover Of Assets and systems to our terminal. Manage all changes to the project scope, schedule and budget.

Elaboration of overall responsibilities General Act as primary point of contact and be responsible for the company with regards to the design and technical/system interfaces, works supervision and progress control, and its full requirements to operate. Together with the Project Manager, build the construction/delivery team by recruiting the required positions for the project organization.

Lead and co-ordinate multidisciplinary teams and activities of others in the delivery of all physical assets. Manage quality assurance, testing and commissioning, Automation related deliverables directly or through others. Give guidance on reporting, project controls and governance to ensure the integrated asset is delivered in accordance with company requirements.

Influence decision making processes on the project and the delivery of the physical assets as a whole. Maintain full awareness of project requirements, risks, changes, budget and schedule, report progress and liaise as necessary. Ensure that commissioning, safety and compliance are addressed early in the project and managed in accordance with APM Terminals' standards.

Oversee the design, interfaces, constructability, value engineering and peer review processes for the project. Safety Integrate safety into the design of the physical assets. Actively promote safety and assume a visible leadership role on the construction site.

Drive that all staff maintain full awareness of safety as a priority. Ensure compliance by all vendors to APM Terminals' safety standards and policies in cooperation with the on-site HSSE manager. Project controls & governance

Together with the Project Controls Manager, implement APM Terminals project controls / project procedures to manage the construction and delivery of equipment and project IT in a forward-looking manner. Ensure, together with the authority compliance / permit team, that all necessary permits and approvals (planning approvals, environmental permits, construction permits, etc) are in place for the timely delivery of the project. Track progress of the delivery of the physical assets against the approved baseline and, where appropriate, ensure issues are pro-actively addressed, resolved and/or escalated and reported Assess delays and report on what corrective measures are being taken to mitigate delays.

Ensure that the impact of change is fully assessed and introduced in a controlled manner. In line with corporate standards, implement best in class PM practices across the project and ensure they are consistently deployed by APMT staff, consultants and contractors. Maintain high technical standards and pioneer new techniques for improved project / construction management.

Maintain a forward looking risk-register and subsequent mitigation strategies. Ensure proper contract management is in place. Communications Ensure clear communication within and from the site delivery team.

Ensure consistent and timley project reporting. Meet regularly with the construction, equipment and IT teams and maintain full awareness of issues which may impact safety, progress, milestonesand/or budget. Build relations at senior management level with contractors, suppliers and consultants to influence the good outcome of delivering a terminal ready for operations.

Address emerging issues and disputes with senior management of contractors' organizations as necessary. Build collaborative relationships with associated divisions and external parties. Elaboration of critical interfaces

Work closely with the terminal team ensuring that:dependencies from elements outside own responsibility (e.g. operations, commercial, legal, funding etc.) affecting construction and equipment delivery are well understood, and the terminal team understand impacts of changes towards construction, automation, equipment and project IT systems delivery. Liaise closely with all disciplines within APM Terminals to ensure that emerging workload is identified in advance and that resource requirements are planned. REPORTING: The direct reporting line will be to the Project Manager.

The functional reporting line is to the Program Lead CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Must Have… Advanced Spoken & Written Communication skills Spanish English Relevant professional experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in a construction and project related environment.

Experience Of Asset Delivery including a complex scope including IT systems, civil/structural construction, equipment commissioning Accountability in Head of Asset Delivery, Construction Manager (or equivalent) on at least two large-scale and complex capital infrastructure projects Working in a culturally and technical diverse team and environment, internally and externally to your organisation Confidently presenting and effectively communicating to internal (project) and external (HQ) stakeholders in written and spoken Spanish and English. Coaching and/or mentoring others across a team or broader functional business Extensive Project Management experience and exposure to Project Controls.

Track-record of successful Asset Delivery (construction, equipment, IT & Automation Systems) with clear responsibility on achieving safety, time and budget targets. Relevant (& hands on) technical experience and knowledgeof: Completion and been awarded an advanced project management qualtification, for example APM PMQ, PMI PMP certificate or equivalent. Engineering design, supervision and / or construction management Consultant, Contractor,Equipment and Systems Procurement Navigating complex stakeholder environments and supporting a permitting and licenses process using technical content.

IT and automation systems delivery and integration Managing through influence and creating team commitment to following delivering high team performance, an excellent safety culture, leading to excellent results. Preferred (but not essential) Experience of working in a matrix organisation Experience of supervision and line management of others in project controls or project management roles.
