DirecciónThe Head of Mexico US SEC Reporting is a senior management and leadership position within the Finance Controllers team responsible for all US SEC reporting requirements for the Citi Mexico franchise, particularly in connection with Citi's strategic announcement to divest of Citi's Mexico Consumer and Small and Middle Market Banking Businesses through an IPO. Additionally, the Head of Mexico US SEC Reporting develops reporting and control procedures to accurately prepare information required for SEC financial reporting and analysis. The objective of this role is to ensure business/department financials are prepared and delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
- Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP and US Regulatory principles
- Develop the SEC reporting team to ensure compliance with all US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Manage activities, including closing the books and sub-ledgers, passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period
- Oversee all areas of financial and management reporting and analysis
- Provide assistance across entire franchise and multiple business lines as it relates to SEC reporting requirements
- Manage and direct individuals within the infrastructure area through relevant direct reporting
- Manage day-to-day high level operational execution and development of the strategic direction of the relevant infrastructure area
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- Closely monitoring legal entity economic conditions and financial performance, including a comprehensive review of the legal entity’s US GAAP balance sheet and profit and loss (P&L), identifying, and assessing key financial and strategic issues and ensuring proper checks and controls are in place.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in people management
- Previous supervisory experience
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills
- Ability to work across functional areas
- Demonstrated project management skills
- US GAAP and reporting expertise required
- Expertise in SEC reporting obligations for foreign filers
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
