ResponsibilitiesThe Opportunity
Working within Global DX sDNA & Advanced Analytics, the role will guide the development, deployment, and scaling of global analytics products. Working cross-functionally with teams including Data & Analytics, Guided Selling, Perfect Store, and various BU teams, this role will support the deployment of best-in-class analytics capabilities around the world, to unlock growth from data. The role will ‘bridge the gap’ between business and technical teams to identify and translate business requirements into technical analytics and digital solutions that will drive action and ultimately sales growth. The role will also develop content (e.g. power point presentations) that “tells the story”, translating output from the data science team and its use cases into meaningful business insights and recommendations for the business that have a tangible impact
Your Impact
As Advanced AnalyticsSenior Analyst your responsibilities would consist of
- As a member of the Global DX Advanced Analytics team, contribute to the translation of analytics use cases into business impact across commercial
- Support the use case and project work through the creation of analyses, presentations, dashboards and other materials, ensuring that outputs are delivered to highest quality
- Prepare high quality presentation materials (including for B2+ level), leveraging advanced visualization, charting and storytelling to provide insights, guide discussions and decision-making
- Work in cross-functional teams, capturing the requirements of business users (e.g. Perfect Store, GTM, DX, retailers etc.) and supporting the data science and data engineering teams in translating them into analytical solutions
- Collaborate with various teams including Data & Analytics (e.g. data scientists and data engineers), Guided Selling, Product Management and other technical teams (e.g. PepsiConnect, SFA etc.)
- Guiding the building of D&A models and other analytical solutions, explainable to a non-technical business audience
- Working within an agile development framework, acting as a product owner to manage the day-to-day work and ensure projects balance simplicity and innovation to deliver against deadlines
- The associate will support the execution of one (or multiple) of the following use cases:
- Deploying Most Valuable Stores (MVS) product to identify and target stores with high potential net revenue growth - use case will directly impacting GTM resourcing decisions (call file, range, merchandising etc.) for all stores within the PEP universe across these geographies
- Deploying Shopper-Led Clustering (SLC) tools to analyse shopper behaviours and assign store to clusters for the use in execution standard development, to drive sales
- Deploying Assortment Optimization (AO) product to define optimal store assortment that is relevant for the shopper and maximizes sales
- Automation of outputs and reporting – use Advanced Analytics to better diagnose performance while designing and automating the creation of reporting dashboards & BU tools (e.g. for the above-listed analytics products)
- Develop and continuously improve our tools and solutions, in collaboration with D&A team, to address commercial Advanced Analytics use cases
- Be a data & analytics evangelist, engage in Advanced Analytics forums and other initiatives aimed at building a data-led culture at PepsiCo
Who Are We Looking For?
- Experience working on projects leveraging data, insights and analytics, preferably in a retail, brand manufacturing or consumer-facing company, or as a consultant servicing clients in this space
- Advanced English - written and conversational
- Excellent analytical and data visualisation skills, with a natural ability to extract insights from data
- Advanced PowerPoint and MS Excel skills
- Agile project management experience or training, preferably as a product owner (e.g. SAFE Agile PO/PM)
- Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work towards tight deadlines
- Effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Understanding of how to use analytical tools in a business setting through, for example regression, clustering, etc. – ability to build basic models, segmentations, etc. a definite plus
- Intellectually curious, with an interest in how data science, Machine Learning and AI can be leveraged to derive business value
- Bachelor’s degree; a Bachelor’s degree in a science, business, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) field an advantage
