Business Development Representative (Team Leader)
We are looking for an BDR to generate new leads, convert leads to customers, meet sales goals, build strong customer relationships, understand customer needs, and communicate them to the operations team so that together we can provide excellent and agile service.
Responsibilities:
- Perform outbound calls to potential new or unassigned or non-active customers and current customers in the SME segment.
- Establish relationships with new customers and secure contracts with new customers to achieve assigned sales quotas and targets.
- Identify potential customer issues and solve them in collaboration with the sales/trade/CS team.
- Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales.
- Analyze relevant customers and build a work plan to increase sales.
- Communicate closely with trade and cross-functional teams on market intelligence, service updates, customer challenges and opportunities.
- Identify competition’s products vs. ZIM’s
- Preparing & aligning sales plans as per established guidelines with Sales Manager
- Creating meeting reports in CRM
- Executing quarterly Sales Target Setting (CRM)
- Conducting market analysis + surveys
- Monitor and report sales goals/targets/KPIs in line with company’s objectives

REQUIREMENTS
- Academic education: Bachelor’s Degree, International business, or related field
- 5+ years of proven experience in sales, marketing in FFW / NVOCC / Shipping
- Experience: working in global company
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Required Professional Knowledge (shipping, logistics, sales)
- Customer service orientation
- Advanced English
