Customer Care Specialist (Expediteur) Healthcare

Kuehne + Nagel is market leader in the Netherlands in the field of Airfreight. From 4 locations at and around Schiphol Airport, a team of some 500 people work hard 24/7 to import and export an international flow of goods. Healthcare is one of the business units of the Air Logistics division. This team deals specifically with the Import and Export of Healthcare supplies. We are looking for a driven Forwarding Agent.

Your Role

In this position, you will be responsible for the timely, correct, and efficient handling of clients' outsourced logistics flow of goods. To hold this challenging position in the Customer Care Healthcare department, you will preferably have work experience in a similar role as an Air Freight Forwarder.

Your Responsibilities

• Maintaining frequent contact with customers and taking care of import/export shipments;
• Liaising with our carriers and subcontractors;
• Keeping track of shipments;
• Commercial handling of shipments, taking into account rates and nature of the orders;
• Teamwork in a collaborative environment.

Your Skills and Experiences

• MBO+ working and thinking level, Logistics related education background would be an asset;
• At least 2 years’ work experience in a similar position, ideally in an air cargo/forwarding environment, and it is a plus if you have Healthcare knowledge;
• Experience in the MS Office package;
• Good communication skills, both oral and written;
• Stress resistance, customer orientation and ability to multitask;
• Excellent command of the English language is a must, both verbally and in writing.
