To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Information Technology Director located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Information Technology VP, Information Technology Director role involves being responsible for leading the engineering and architectural strategy for collaboration and communication tools within the digital office ecosystem.

What a typical day looks like:

• Design, implement, and maintain a robust infrastructure for seamless digital collaboration and communication across the organization.
• Evaluate, select, and integrate appropriate technologies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and user experience.
• Oversee the development and deployment of collaborative platforms, such as email systems, video conferencing, instant messaging, and document sharing solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives and user needs.
• Define and enforce best practices, standards, and policies for the secure and effective use of collaboration tools.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to IT teams, ensuring high-quality delivery and continuous improvement.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in collaboration and communication tools.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing within the IT organization and across departments.
• Develop and manage budgets, resource allocations, and vendor relationships related to collaboration and communication technologies.
• Be responsible for collaborating with business-unit management, all technology areas of the IT Department, and outside consultants to assess feasibility, determine costs versus benefits, prioritize projects, develop and implement systems plans, and provide ongoing support to address the information requirements of the business and adhere to established strategic business and systems objectives.
• Develops plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software purchases, budget and staffing.
• Develop cost-effective information technology solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications that are more complex with full competency.
• Oversees the development, implementation, installation and operation of information and functional systems for the organization.
• Monitors management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security and legal and regulatory compliance.
• Interact internally and externally with executive level management, requiring negotiation of extremely critical matters.
• Direct and control the activities of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups or service areas through senior managers who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of those assigned areas.
• Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
• Plan and direct the activities of one or more Managers/Leads and their direct reports.
• Manage a technology area whose members closely collaborate with their customer in examining solution options and are responsible for planning and managing multiple application systems development, maintenance, and enhancement projects utilizing computing architecture platforms.
• Provide direction for the development and utilization of assigned resources.
• Minimize investment and maximize value of the available resources of the business unit at all levels.
• Make final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensure operations’ effective achievement of objectives.
• Approve system development cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.
• Fluent English.
• Previous experience in information systems experience, including management.
• Previous technical experience with Microsoft collaboration & productivity tools (365).
• Demonstrates expert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
• Demonstrates mastery of functional knowledge in relation to other functions and a complete understanding of the function and those of related businesses.
• Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical, financial and legal reports.
• Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers or external communities.
• Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and customers.
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Master’s degree in related field is also a plus. 
• IT related certifications are also a plus.
