In this position, you will get to:

Provide direction and facilitate EHS program objectives across campus

Lead environmental processes to ensure company and regulatory requirements are met in relation to hazardous/special waste management, water discharge and air permitting obligations

Supervise EHS federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and risk initiatives; analyze potential impacts on system operations; provide operations and executive management information as appropriate

Be a positive mentor, observer, trainer and main point of contact for EHS vision and assistance

Manage EHS documents, vendor contract and permit administration applying retention rules

Lead incident reporting process and participate in incident investigation and root cause analysis

Be the site EHS leader and point of contact for safety and environmental related inquiries

Coordinate behavior based safety and ergonomic improvement activities

You have:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Safety or Environmental

5+ years leading Safety and/or Environment systems

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

Fully bilingual

Solid understanding of safety and environmental regulations and the ability to apply such in the manufacturing setting. 

Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 

Related experience within international standards ISO 1400.

Knowledgeable in EHS regulatory standards. Formal training and/or certification is desired.

Knowledge of the regulatory of the Mexican Environmental and health departments (PROFEPA, SEMARNAT, COFEPRIS, SSA, stc.).

Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and other relevant systems capabilities. 

Ability to prioritize and lead multiple tasks/projects and meeting all required deadlines. 

Knowledge of Lean methodologies.

Skill in change management and process management.
